(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Department (CSPD) arrested a 22-year-old for allegedly hitting and killing a motorcyclist in the evening hours of Wednesday, March 12. At around 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash at N. Academy Boulevard and Rebecca Lane, n ear Palmer Park. Upon arrival, police found the motorcyclist dead and the driver of the car had walked away from the scene. An initial investigation indicates that the car was traveling northbound on North Academy Boulevard, attempting to turn left on Rebecca Lane, while the motorcyclist was traveling south on N. Academy and the two collided in the intersection. The driver, 22-year-old David Medina, was located and taken into custody.
