Brett Beveridge: Serial entrepreneur leads 5,000 workers in latest endeavor
Mar 12, 2025
Brett Beveridge is a serial entrepreneur who thrives on building businesses from the ground up and prides himself on being at the forefront of technology. Since founding The Revenue Optimization Companies (T-ROC), he has helped propel the parent company of six brands to become a leader in the wirele
ss, electronics, software and retail industries, assisting many big-box retailers and Fortune 500 companies such as Apple, Sprint, AT&T, Walmart, Comcast and more.
At just 23 years old, the University of Miami graduate started selling cell phones out of a van with a college friend. That bootstrap venture became Let’s Talk Cellular & Wireless, which expanded to nearly 300 stores nationwide, making it the country’s top independent mobile wireless retailer at the time. He later took the company public and sold it to Nextel.
Mr. Beveridge continued to harness his entrepreneurial spirit, raising millions from national venture capital firms like Goldman Sachs to co-found LetsTalk.com, which became one of the largest online e-tailers of wireless products and services. In 2012, LetsTalk.com was acquired by Brightstar Corp., the world’s leading wireless handset distributor.
His leadership has earned him multiple accolades, including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for Florida (2017), recognition on the Inc. 500/5000 Fast Growing Companies list 15 times and a spot on the Florida Trend 500 list for six consecutive years.
Mr. Beveridge’s entrepreneurial success is matched by his commitment to giving back to his community. Over the years, he has served on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, the Orange Bowl Committee and UM’s Citizens Board, among others. His impact extends beyond business, as he continues to mentor the next generation of leaders and inspire positive change.
Mr. Beveridge spoke with Miami Today reporter Genevieve Bowen.
