BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A 19-year-old man died of his injuries after a crash early Monday in Lamont, according to the California Highway Patrol. An 18-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child were uninjured in the crash.
CHP said the crash happened Monday, March 10 at around midnight on Panama
Road west of Fairfax Road.

Investigators said the 19-year-old driver and the two other passengers were traveling eastbound on Panama Lane near Fairfax Road when the driver lost control of a Chevrolet Malibu, went off the road, and collided into a power pole. The vehicle overturned and came to rest off the north shoulder of Panama Road, CHP said.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders and suffered major injuries. An 18-year-old woman and 3-year-old child were not hurt in the collision.
The unidentified driver was taken to Kern Medical for treatment but died on March 11, CHP officials said in a release.

The Kern County Coroner's Office will identify the driver at a later time.
CHP said it has not been determined if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
