Southern University campus police look for person of interest after student hurt in shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Southern University Police Department is looking for a person of interest in connection to a Sunday shooting that left one student hurt.
The campus was placed on lockdown after a shooting at Jones Hall Sunday evening.
One student was taken to a local ho
spital following the shooting. A university spokesperson told Louisiana First News the student was in stable condition.
According to the original alert, the possible suspect was wearing a black hoodie with rhinestones and dark pants. Two photos of a person of interest were released Monday morning.
