NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A dense fog advisory is in effect for the lakes until 8 AM Tuesday as fog will be possible overnight. Right now this fog looks to be patchy. We will likely see a better chance of fog later in the week as warmer and more humid air moves in. Winter will be taking a break over the next couple of weeks. Expect more spring-like temperatures to move in, especially as we start the month of February. That doesn't mean winter is over as we could see a return to a colder pattern for the second half of February or early March, but in the next 10-14 days temperatures should be warmer. Tuesday will be a little cooler with lows in the low to mid 40s and highs in the low 60s. We will be back to the mid to upper 60s by Wednesday and then 70s on Thursday. Most of the week we will see the main pattern of weather in terms of rain stay out to the west. Currently the next front will be moving through on Friday morning with this being the next widespread rain chance as well. Overnight lows will remain well above freezing for the foreseeable future.
