A 42-year-old man shot by Arvada police after he fired at officers died from his injuries, officials said Monday.

Phou Thone Onemanivong allegedly got into a stolen car in an alley near Kipling Parkway and West 59th Avenue early Sunday morning, refused to get out and started shooting at officers, Arvada Police Department officials said.
Three Arvada officers returned fire, seriously injuring Onemanivong. He was taken to the hospital and died just before 4 p.m. Sunday.
The three officers are on administrative leave and the shooting is being investigated by the Jefferson County Critical Incident Response Team.
