RI delegation writes to Trump to keep Washington Bridge funding in place
Jan 27, 2025
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The four members of the Rhode Island congressional delegation said a recent move from President Trump could delay billions of dollars of federal funding, including the $220 million needed to repair the Washington Bridge.
Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, along with representatives Gabe Amo and Seth Magaziner, sent a letter to the Trump team Saturday.
They wrote to the acting director of the Office of Management and Budget in hopes of preventing any delays in federal funding that could come from the new administration.
We are working to reach the Trump administration.
