2 dead after 2alarm fire on Callingham Road in Pittsford

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Two people were found dead in a home in Pittsford Sunday night as crews responded to the Callingham Road residence for a reported fire, the Pittsford Fire Chief confirmed.
The fire was first reported around 8:30 p.m. at 82 Callingham Road. Additional crews responded to the scene after the second alarm was declared. Neighbors called the fire in, claiming two people inside the home were trapped, according to the chief. The identities of those who died were not immediately available. The chief told News 8 no one else was inside at the time.

Multiple vehicles involved in crash on 590
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies were on the scene along with EMS and fire crews from Pittsford, Bushnell's Basin, Brighton, and East Rochester. Callingham Road is closed to traffic for the time being. It's unclear when the area will reopen.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation by deputies and the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
