NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Highs warmed well above average this afternoon. Expect this to occur multiple times for the week ahead as our patter shifts to warmer and muggier this week. Lows tonight remain above freezing; those nights are behind us. Middle 50s will be seen across the area tomorrow morning under cloudy skies. Rain chances are also present for tomorrow morning, but not the same chance for everyone. Showers will set up mostly north of New Orleans for the morning commute. Little to no rain for the coast. Florida Parishes and the north shore will see between trace amounts to 0.5 inches. Isolated chances for very light showers will be seen south of New Orleans between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Monday after that we are dry across the board for the remainder of the day. Near normal temperatures behind this weak cold front. Then we rise into the upper 60s on Wednesday, with 70s likely on Thursday ahead of our next big rain day. Showers and thunderstorms are expected for Thursday night and Friday. Details are a little shaky right now, but Friday may have a set up where some storms could be strong. We will update you the closer we get to that time frame on any potential impacts that storms could bring. Sun is back for the weekend!
