Powerball ticket worth $50,000 sold in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased in Indianapolis ahead of Saturday night's drawing.
According to a press release, the winning ticket was purchased at the Meijer grocery store located at 5324 East Southport Road. The ticket matched four out of five numbers and the Powerball from Saturday's drawing.
Saturday's winning numbers were 8-15-17-53-66 with a Powerball of 14.
Officials encourage all Powerball winners to ensure their tickets are in safe places, consider meeting with financial advisors and call Hoosiers Lottery Customer Service at 1-800-955-6886. Players can also check their Powerball tickets with the Hoosier Lottery Mobile App.
Monday's projected Powerball jackpot is $56 million. Per the Hoosier Lottery, Powerball overall odds are 1 in 25.
A Hoosier has won the Powerball jackpot 39 times in the game's 33-year history. Indiana has had more Powerball winners than any other participating state. The Hoosier State was also home to the first-ever Powerball winner in 1992.
