Mild and windy Monday with snow showers late

It was a chilly, but pleasant end to the weekend across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. The good news is we're set to experience warmer temperatures throughout this week and thaw out across the area!
It will be a cold start to the day on Monday though. Clear skies will allow temperatures to drop into the mid-teens as you head out the door, with feels-like temperatures down in the single digits. Brr! Make sure you bundle up the kids as they go back to school.

Most of our Monday will feature quite a bit of sunshine! High temperatures will even reach as high as the upper 30s, but it will be a windy day. Look for gusts up to 40 mph at times, so make sure you secure any loose outdoor objects.

We'll see wind gusts peak as high as 45 mph Monday evening as a weak disturbance drops down from the north. Clouds will quickly increase and we'll see a fast-moving round of snow showers. Accumulation is expected to only amount to a coating, but keep this in mind if you have plans after 8 PM Monday.

Some snow showers linger overnight into early Tuesday morning, but then we'll dry out during the day Tuesday. Highs will be up around 40 degrees with partly cloudy skies in place.

On Wednesday, we drop back into the mid-to-upper 30s, with the slight chance for a lake effect rain or snow shower.
We'll be partly cloudy and mild again on Thursday before our next weather system moves in. Look for rain showers to be in play both Friday and Saturday during the day, with some snow potentially mixing in at night. Stay tuned for updates on this system.
