SPIRIT LAKE, ND (KXNET) — Officials say the Spirit Lake Tribe is getting a massive energy upgrade thanks to the EPA's Climate Pollution Reduction Grant. They say the Spirit Lake Tribe received $7.3 million from the grant, which will be used to support solar power, energy-efficient housing upgrades, a waste recycling facility, and an EV infrastructure. Officials say this grant and these projects will help reduce emissions, lower energy costs, and create new jobs and economic opportunities for people on the Spirit Lake Reservation. And the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality wants to congratulate the Spirit Lake Tribe for leading the way for sustainability in our state!
