WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Officers arrested a Hagerstown woman after she made several online threats against local churches, according to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal. According to the agency, officers arrested 35-year-old Salamah Bassem Audi on Saturday, Jan. 25, after investigators were notified of multiple threats she made last week against Gateway Experience Church in Williamsport and the City of God in Hagerstown. Audi also allegedly threatened the pastors of both churches. Historic downtown Hagerstown landmark is on the auction block Investigators said Audi had written the threats in an online blog. In addition, fire marshals said an investigation revealed that Audi threatened to "blow up the pastor of a Hagerstown house of worship into 'itty bitty pieces' while he was on his way to his car." Investigators linked the blog to Audi and obtained a warrant, according to the fire marshal. The Hagerstown Police Department then arrested her, charging her with two counts of arson threat and one count of threat of mass violence. Officers took Audi to the Washington County Detention Center; however, authorities released her on recognizance.
