LOS ANGELES, CA (WROC) — Born and raised in Honeoye Falls, Victoria Martzloff moved to Buffalo in her teens then to Los Angeles for college. As an acting major, Martzloff was looking for her big break in TV, but when it came last spring, she almost didn't get the call. “I was traveling on a road trip through Yellow Stone and barely had service but I knew it was around the time I was going to be hearing back and as we were driving up and down these mountains I got a call from my manager and so we pulled over and I found out that I booked the role and I worked on the show from June until November,” Martzloff said. The role is in the Dexter prequel series called Dexter: Original Sin. The series takes us back to when Dexter was joining the police force and trying his hand at the serial killer business. “My character's name is Tiffany, and she is a frenemy of Dexter's young sister Deb and I kind of go at it with Deb the entire show,” Martzloff said. The star of the original series, Michael C. Hall, lends his voice to this new series and serves as a producer, which meant he was on set a lot, adding to the surreal experience for Martzloff. “I was not expecting it but working with alongside some of the major stars in the industry and working with some of the most talented people has been a such a wonderful experience and I feel like I've grown so much as an actor and as a person through that experience,” she said. Martzloff is now preparing to release her own film that she wrote, produced and started in called Perpetual Perfection. Her voice will also be heard in a new Sony movie called Europa. Dexter: Original Sin streams on Paramount Plus among other places.
