San Jose man arrested after burglarizing same house twice: sheriff’s office

(KRON) – The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a San Jose man who is suspected of burglarizing the same residence twice in two days.
At 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a residence in the 2900 block of Long Ridge Road in unincorporated La Honda for a report of a burglary. The sheriff’s office said deputies established a perimeter around the house and called the suspect out of the house.
The suspect was identified as 28-year-old San Jose resident Juan F. Chaverria Montoya.

Per the deputies’ investigation, Montoya forced open a rear window of the residence and stole around 50 items valued at around $3,000. The items were found in Montoya’s vehicle, which was also at the scene.
Montoya, according to deputies, was involved in a separate burglary at the same residence that was reported the day prior.
Montoya was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for residential burglary.
