At the scene, fire crews found a one-story duplex with smoke coming off of it and an adult lying in the driveway.
First-responded provided medical attention to the victim while firefighters went into the building and pulled out two more people.
The three victims were taken to medical facilities for treatment. Three more adults were displaced due to the damage and are staying with family and friends. Three people in a neighboring duplex were able to escape.
Fire officials say the fire caused $200,000 in damage, and 36 officials responded to the scene.
No word on the cause of the fire, but fire officials say it appears to have started in the kitchen and the resident did not have working smoke detectors.
