Pennsylvania governor admits to calling into sports talk shows as 'Josh from Juniata'

PHILADELPHIA (WHTM) — Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is an avid Philadelphia sports fan — so much so that he claims he calls in to sports talk radios under the guise of an everyday fan.
During an appearance on The 25/10 Show, hosted by former Philadelphia Eagles LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson, Shapiro confirmed he calls into sports talk radio as "Josh from Juniata."
McCoy asked Shapiro if the rumors of him calling into radio stations were true, something the governor confirmed.
"I just want to talk about sports," said Shapiro. "And inevitably they'll be like, 'Hey Gov., while we got you, let us ask you about the issue of the day,' or that, which is fine, I get it, right? I'm happy to talk about that too, but I'm just a sports fan."

Shapiro added that he enjoys talking about the recent success of the Eagles and the recent struggles of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Heading into Sunday's NFC Championship game Shapiro predicted the Eagles would beat the Washington Commanders 24-20 and advance to Super Bowl LIX.
“I think the fact that we have the best offensive line in the NFL will continue to allow Saquon Barkley, Pennsylvania’s own, to just shatter records,” said Shapiro last week.
The Eagles will host the Commanders at 3 p.m. ET Sunday.
