BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it recently arrested three people in Western New York as part of a nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration. The White House said on social media that ICE arrested Luis Alberto Espinoza-Boconsaca, who had been convicted of rape, as well as Cristofer Alexander Ramirez-Olivia, who was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Interim U.S. Customs and Border Chief Patrol Agent Juan Bernal posted that Jonathan Rios Torres, who was previously arrested for false imprisonment in Georgia, was also arrested. The White House said that nearly 540 arrests were made late last week.
