Happy Gameday, DMV! We finally made it to the big day and the forecast across the area not looking bad. A dry cold front will pass through the area today and behind it, winds will begin to pick up. Winds this afternoon are expected to gust between 20-25 mph. Mostly cloudy skies will be the trend with highs expected to be in the 40s. If you plan on heading north up 95 to Philadelphia, to watch the Commanders take on the Eagles at the 3 p.m. the forecast calls for breezy and cloudy skies with temperatures throughout the game in the 30s to 40s. Tonight, winds will begin to die down as weak high pressure builds into the area. Dry conditions will continue through the overnight hours and heading into the work week. Lows tonight are expected to dip into the 20s and 30s. A mixture of sun and clouds will be seen as we head into Monday with highs remaining in the 40s for most locations. By Tuesday winds will begin to pick up as a cold front stalls just to the north of the DMV. The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for locations in the mountain counties Monday night heading into Tuesday. However, wind advisories may be issued for mountain counties as winds are expected to gust 50+ mph. Windy conditions will continue through Wednesday with highs both Tuesday and Wednesday expected to be in the 50s.
