SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Rainy weather made for wet road conditions Sunday morning, leading to a multi-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 8 near San Diego State University, according to a Sig Alert from California Highway Patrol. The incident was first reported at 8:35 a.m., with CHP officials noting a vehicle had went down into a ditch near the Waring Road exit. Shortly after, another vehicle spun out and went off the roadway in the same area. ‘A body may wash up’: Suspected smuggling boat capsizes in Ocean Beach The traffic disruptions only continued from there with CHP reporting that a third vehicle also went off the roadway, while a fourth vehicle t-boned another and also went into a ditch in the area. By 8:40 a.m., the Sig Alert noted that at least four vehicles had major damage and multiple people were injured. The nature of those injuries remains unknown.
