NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Mid-City on Saturday, Jan. 25. The NOPD reported that officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 4100 block of Iberville Street around 11:43 p.m. after two men who had been shot were taken to a hospital in a private car. 16-year-old arrested following Garyville homicide According to the NOPD, one of the men allegedly shot the other. The victim then reportedly fired back, hitting the other man. NOPD officials said the man accused of firing first died at a hospital. Man arrested following Harvey homicide by stabbing The NOPD did not release additional information, and the Orleans Parish coroner will identify the victim.
