Wisconsin driver leaves scene after leaving road crashing into trees, totaled vehicle

SCOTT, Wis. (WFRV) - A Wisconsin man was cited for leaving the scene of a crash early Thursday morning after his vehicle went off the road and crashed into a fence and trees.
According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a crash on CTH W near Pony Lane in the Town of Scott around 5:45 a.m. on January 23.
Deputies say the driver reportedly lost control while navigating a curve when it went off the highway and crashed into a fence and trees.

The release states that the driver allegedly left the scene and didn't report the crash. The vehicle was totaled as a result.
Deputies were able to follow up with the driver, who was not injured. However, they were cited for failing to report the crash, failing to keep a vehicle under control, having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, and an equipment violation.
