SCOTT, Wis. (WFRV) - A Wisconsin man was cited for leaving the scene of a crash early Thursday morning after his vehicle went off the road and crashed into a fence and trees. According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a crash on CTH W near Pony Lane in the Town of Scott around 5:45 a.m. on January 23. Deputies say the driver reportedly lost control while navigating a curve when it went off the highway and crashed into a fence and trees. Possible intoxicated driver complaint leads Marinette County deputies to fatal crash The release states that the driver allegedly left the scene and didn't report the crash. The vehicle was totaled as a result. Deputies were able to follow up with the driver, who was not injured. However, they were cited for failing to report the crash, failing to keep a vehicle under control, having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, and an equipment violation. No additional information was provided.
