Slight Sunday cooldown, windy Monday

Skies are mostly cloudy to start our Sunday, but are mainly in the mid-to-upper levels. Temperatures early this afternoon are in the mid-to-upper 20s.
We'll rise through those 20s, with highs around 30 for the day. So, have the coat and winter hat handy for the day. There will be some occasional moments of sunshine under these partly to mostly cloudy skies.

While skies are cloudy for the daytime, we see them clearing overnight. This allows a cold start to the week with lows in the teens. Make sure to bundle up for the morning heading back to work, or sending the kids off to school Monday morning.

The good news is that those clear conditions will translate to a mostly sunny Monday. We'll be warmer, too, with highs in the upper 30s.
The biggest thing to note on Monday will be the windy conditions. Winds form the southwest may gust up to 40 mph at times, so be sure to secure any loose outdoor objects. There will be a slight chance for a rain/snow shower on Monday, but that will be relegated towards the evening hours as clouds return then. Snow showers return Monday overnight, but accumulation looks to be light as they don't stick around for very long.

We're quiet for Tuesday with highs in the upper 30s and partly cloudy skies.
On Wednesday, we drop back into the mid-30s, with the slight chance for a lake effect rain or snow shower.
Mostly sunny skies on Thursday and highs in the mid-30s, ahead of an approaching weather system moving in Friday, marking the beginning of some rainy/snowy moments we could see through the weekend.

We do at least climb into the 40s next weekend with all of the rain showers we will see. This coincides with February getting underway and Groundhog Day is also on Sunday. The biggest question on this day... will the groundhog see its shadow? Either way, enjoy the above-freezing temperatures!
