A top Department of Justice official is in Chicago to "personally observe" immigration enforcement actions, according to multiple news reports. Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, President Donald Trump's top appointee in the agency, will oversee Department of Homeland Security operations today, according to reports from NBC and ABC. JB Prtizker said there's a difference between targeting undocumented "violent criminals" and law-abiding people when he was asked about the possibility of immigration raids in Illinois. "They're going after people who are law-abiding, who are holding down jobs, who have families here, who may have been here for a decade or two decades, and they're often our neighbors and our friends," Pritzker said."These are not people who are causing problems in our country, and what we need is a path to citizenship for them. We need to secure our border.
