The next meeting of Lake County Public Employee Retirees, Inc. Chapter No. 28 will be at noon Feb. 6 at the Pine Ridge Country Club, 30601 Ridge Road in Wickliffe. Rebecca McFarland, an internationally recognized  historical expert, will present a program on the “Life  and Times of Eliot Ness. Ness served as Cleveland’s safety director from 1935 to 1942. McFarland’s research has been requested for magazines, books, movies, radio and television, according to a news release. Lunch is $22 and reservations must be made no later than noon on Jan. 31.
