ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester went elite glam Saturday, and for a good cause too, with an internationally-renowned fashion designer unveiling a specialty showcase! It all happened at the Armory on Culver Road. Hosted by New York City fashion gal-turned-Rochestarian, Meghan Mundy, the creator of Meghan Mundy style, and while benefiting the Center for Youth, the show featured London-based industry mogul Adebayo Jones. It's so different than anything you will see in the stores," Mundy told News 8 on Saturday. He's been celebrated all over the world as the "King of Couture," and the "Godfather of African Fashion." Jones has dressed royalty, celebrities, and icons across the globe. Pieces featured during Saturday's fashion show. "Now I understand what they mean when they talk about the Rochester hospitality! This is it - and I am enjoying it!" Mundy told News 8 folks can also take part in a Trunk Show if they missed out on Saturday's event. It's slated to run Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday at the Armory. Attendees will be able to purchase pieces featured during Saturday's show, and custom measurements will be taken. Sunday, the show will run from noon to 4 p.m. then on Monday and Tuesday it will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
