LAWRENCE TWP. — Malachi Jeffers-Viera added a milestone to an already outstanding senior season. While Jeffers-Viera went over 1,000 career points on a fourth-quarter dunk for the West Windsor-Plainsboro North boys basketball team, it wasn’t enough to lift his team to a victory as hard-charging Notre Dame came away with a 54-49 victory on Saturday. Jeffers-Viera scored a game-high 29 points for the Knights (14-3) and also grabbed 10 rebounds. Will Foley led three players in double figures with 17 points for the Irish (10-6), who have won five in a row. Josh Gatete added 14 points and Charlie Schurr tallied 10. ND used a 21-12 third quarter to take the lead and held off North over the final eight minutes. Lawrence 65, Monroe 33 LAWRENCE — Marvin McNeil had 17 points, Josh Wilson and Andrew Tembo added 12 each and the CVC Valley Division champion Cardinals (14-4) won their ninth straight game with a victory over the Falcons (4-11). Hopewell Valley 58, Hillsborough HILLSBOROUGH — Milan Desai notched 21 points, Ethan Rich tallied 13 and Dean Mantuano added 11 as the Bulldogs (14-3) picked up a nice road win over Hillsborough (9-7). Trenton 56, North Star Academy 37 NEWARK — Aivaye Ingram and Qadir Dixon both posted double-doubles and the Tornadoes (9-8) swept past North Star Academy (4-10) at the Clash of the Counties at Weequahic High. Ingram had 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Dixon posted 13 points and 13 boards. Juan Sanchez added 14 points. Robbinsville 73, WW-PS 42 PRINCETON JCT. — Tyler Bunnell scored 18 points, Jax Kaber and Liam Butler finished with 10 each and the Ravens (9-9) rolled past the Pirates (3-16) thank to a 38-point first quarter. Cameron Jones led South with 12 points. Delaware Valley 65, Princeton 43 FRENCHTOWN — Michael Bess Jr. put up 18 points, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Tigers (2-13) to a third win as they fell to the Terriers (9-6), who got 16 points from Eric Klemmer and 15 from Tommy Denvir. Ewing 51, Egg Harbor Twp. 50 Mt. HOLLY — Joel Cineus scored 18 points, Leslie Summiel had 11 and the Blue Devils (11-4) held on to clip the Eagles (9-6) at the Jeff Coney Classic. Sterling 34, Hightstown 30 Mt. HOLLY — The Rams (9-8) fell in a rock fight to the Silver Knights (10-6) at the Jeff Coney Classic. Pennington 67, Friends Select 60 PHILADELPHIA — Joshua Benka-Coker netted 17 points to pace four players in double figures and the Red Hawks (10-7) won in overtime over their Philadelphia-based opponent. Kae Kilic finished with 13 points, Noah Johnson added 11 and Dylan Napoleon had 10. Peddie 71, Mercersburg 56 MERCERSBURG, Pa. — The Falcons (10-9) soared to another MAPL victory by knocking off Mercersburg. Delran 89, STEM Civics 59 DELRAN — Jack Jordan poured in 28 points, Andrew Reim and Dennis Vittese had 20 each and the Bears (9-4) had no problem handling the Purple Lightning (2-10).
