TOPEKA (KSNT) - This time Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, we'll know if the Chiefs are AFC Champions and heading to the Super Bowl.  If they are, Academy Sports already has the winning apparel. The central Topeka location received boxes all week containing merchandise in the case of the Chiefs winning the AFC Championship. Some locations will reopen following the game if the Chiefs secure the win.  200 Kansas Army troops sent to U.S.-Mexico border "Our stores in the Kansas City area, Joplin and Springfield will be reopening as soon as the victory is announced," Tyler Thieme, store operations manager, said. "If you live outside those areas and interested in championship gear, they can visit our website and see what stores have them in."  Topeka's Academy location will not be reopening following the game, but if the Chiefs win, they will have merchandise out first thing in the morning when the store reopens at their normal hours.
