ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Lobo women's basketball team suffered a 64-77 loss to Fresno State on Saturday. The difference in the game was a poor fourth quarter where the Lobos didn't play hard enough, according to head coach Mike Bradbury.
After taking a seven point lead into the final quarter, nothing seemed to go right for UNM at the end. The Lobos only made two field goals and recorded a total of two rebounds during the fourth quarter. Fresno State outscored the Lobos 27-7during that span.
"They didn't do anything different, they played a lot harder than we did," Bradbury said. "That's something that's disappointing because that doesn't happen to us very often. They whipped us. We just kind of lost our way."
Statistally, UNM was led by Viane Cumber and Destinee Hooks with 19 and 17 points, respectively. Final Box.
UNM is now 6-2 in conference play. Up next is a road game at Boise State on Tuesday.
