ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque woman who police say rammed an officer's car with her child in her vehicle is taking a plea deal. Back in April, Angelique Sanchez was seen with her son at the Human Services Department near Menaul and I-25.
Sanchez did not have legal custody of the boy, who was reported missing several days earlier by his legal guardians. When state police approached her, they say Sanchez rammed the officer's car and nearly struck them when she sped away.

Under the agreed-upon deal, Sanchez is pleading no contest to child abuse and aggravated assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon. She was facing several other charges but those were dropped.
Under the agreement, Sanchez will serve one year in MDC with five years of probation afterward.
