LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – The trial for the last former New Mexico State University (NMSU) basketball player suspected in a hazing scandal will be delayed once again. Prosecutors say Deshawndre Washington and two other teammates hazed and sexually assaulted some of their former teammates while playing for the NMSU Men's Basketball Team.
The two other suspects, Kim Aiken Jr. and Doctor Bradley, recently took plea deals in the case. They agreed to testify against Washington.

According to court records, both sides asked for Washington's trial to be continued because the lead prosecutor on the case was also trying a homicide case that overlapped. The law office for Washington's attorney confirmed to News 13 that the trial was reset for April 14.
Court records also show a plea deal could still be reached between the two sides. Aiken Jr. and Bradley are scheduled to be sentenced on March 4.
