NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Winter will be taking a break over the next couple of weeks. Expect more spring-like temperatures to move in, especially as we start the month of February. That doesn't mean winter is over as we could see a return to a colder pattern for the second half of February or early March, but in the next 10-14 days temperatures should be warmer.
Expect 60s for highs to start the week and then we will see 70s return later in the week. We could see a few showers late in the day Sunday, although it looks like a better rain chance on Monday. Right now amounts do not look very heavy.
Most of the week we will see the main pattern of weather in terms of rain stay out to the west. It looks like a chance for heavier rain will move back in towards the end of the week or next Saturday, although that is still a week away.
Overnight lows will remain well above freezing for the foreseeable future.
