The free event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will provide attendees the chance to talk directly to local gardeners and browse plants in this direct-from-farmer show.
The bi-annual show will feature blooming flower stems and potted plants for Valentine's Day gift-giving.
"We invite you to come early for best selection and come see all the beautiful flowers," said Bob Harris of OrchidPeople, a Big Island nursery. "It's the biggest plant sale for Valentine's Day on the island."
The plant show will be celebrating its 11th year, with one sale occurring around Valentine's Day and another in the fall. The show highlights the fact that attendees can get feedback and guidance on plant care direct from the farmers.
Growers participating include:
Chitosi Tsumura of C&T Products in Keaʻau, featuring many different varieties and colors of long-lasting, heart-shaped anthuriums.
Peter and Kay DeMello of DeMello Air Plants of Kona, who will provide 50 varieties of easy-care air plant.
Jennifer Snyder and Bob Harris of OrchidPeople in Waimea, offering their largest selection ever of cool and warm-tolerant cymbidium orchids.
Phoenicia and Bob Zeller of Peleʻs Island Plants in Oceanview, will have select and hard-to-find orchids, cacti and succulents.
Kari Hagerman of Pomaikaʻi Plant Company of Waimea, bringing grafted fruit trees, herbs, vegetables, bedding plants, lavender, hibiscus, roses and eucalyptus.
