Expect a cloudy Sunday morning in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Our temperatures reached the upper 40s this afternoon for the first time in a week! Skies remain mostly clear this evening but clouds start to roll in overnight leaving us with mostly cloudy skies early Sunday morning.
Sunday, our temperatures will start off in the mid-20s with afternoon highs reaching the low 50s for only the fifth time this month. While we'll start Sunday with mostly cloudy skies, we'll see more sunshine into the rest of the day.
A weak cold front moves through Sunday into Monday which won't do anything to our temperatures except hold them steady and bring us a few clouds. Monday starts off in the low 30s and highs reach the low 50s. A stray shower is also possible on Monday in the southern portion of our viewing area, mainly Montgomery County.
Sunshine returns on Tuesday and temperatures continue to climb in the afternoons. We'll start the morning in the low 30s with highs reaching the upper 50s. Winds will be a little breezy out of the west-southwest.
Mostly sunny skies Wednesday with our warmest day since late December! Morning temperatures will be in the mid-30s and afternoon highs reach the low 60s. Winds will remain a little breezy out of the west around 5 to 15 mph.
A cold front moves through Wednesday night into Thursday which brings a slight drop in temperatures. We'll start the morning in the low 30s and afternoon highs reach the upper 40s with partly cloudy skies.
We'll watch for low rain chances into next weekend with about a 20% chance for showers on Saturday. Temperatures remain seasonable with lows ranging from the upper 20s to mid 30s and afternoon highs reaching the low 50s.
