Gavin Brindley forced overtime with a late third-period goal, but the Monsters dropped a 4-3 decision to the Crunch in Syracuse on Jan. 25. After yielding three straight goals to fall behind, 3-2, Cleveland got a Brindley tally at 18:51 of the third, assisted by Rocco Grimaldi and Trey Fix-Wolansky, to level the proceedings. It was Brindley’s fifth goal of the season. Owen Sillinger and Dylan Gambrell lit the lamp in the opening period for the Monsters. They return to action Jan. 31, hosting Providence.
