Water main break in Vienna impacts businesses, traffic

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- A water main broke in Vienna on Saturday, impacting businesses and traffic in the area.
In a post on the X platform shortly before 11:30 a.m., the Town of Vienna said crews were working to repair a water main break at Church Street and Dominion Road NE. As a result, some businesses in the area were seeing impacts to their water service.
The westbound lane of Church Street, between Mill and Center Streets, was closed as crews worked on repairs. Dominion Road was also closed.

In an update just after 3 p.m., officials said the break "requires extensive repair" and it is expected to take "several more hours" to fix it.
Crews then closed both directions of Church Street, between Center and Mill Streets, as they worked to resolve the issue. Officials encourage drivers to find an alternate route.
