Man being treated for gunshot wound after Rochester shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A man was hospitalized after he was shot in Rochester Saturday afternoon, police confirmed to News 8.
According to the Rochester Police Department, the 61-year-old victim was found shot near the intersection of Lyell Avenue and Cameron Street just before 4 p.m.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for at least one gunshot wound to his lower body, police announced. He was still receiving treatment when RPD released information at 5:30 p.m., officers said. His status remains unclear at this time.
