Speeding car ends up on frozen Onondaga Lake after hitting light post

Salina, N.Y. — A driver was ticketed after he hit a light post Friday evening and his car ended up stopping on a frozen Onondaga Lake, troopers said.Mohammed K. Alshami, 20, was given a ticket for moving from a lane unsafely and for speeding, according to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for the New York State Police.
