One person dies in plane crash in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) -- One person died in a small plane crash in Albemarle County Saturday afternoon. According to Virginia State Police, a plane coming from Rockingham, N.C. crashed in a wooded area off of Monacan Drive East at approximately 12:50 p.m. State police are in the process of notifying the victim's family.
