Slight snow shower chance early tonight

We enjoyed warmer temperatures to start the weekend across the area! Most of us enjoyed temperatures above the freezing mark, but a bit of a breeze still made it feel colder at times.
Look for mostly cloudy skies to be in place as we progress into tonight. We are tracking a cold front to pass through during the 8 PM to 2 AM window. This front will bring us the chance for a few snow showers, mainly in our northern counties. Expect only a coating of snow at best and very minimal travel concerns.

After the front passes, clouds stick around overnight, and we'll drop down into the lower 20s by daybreak Sunday.

We'll see a mostly cloudy day on Sunday, with high temperatures a little bit cooler compared to Saturday. We'll top out in the upper 20s, which still is not too bad at all for this time of the year.

Monday will feature quite a bit of sunshine and warmer temperatures before clouds increase again late in the day. We'll climb all the way to the upper 30s, but this will be a byproduct of strong southwesterly winds; look for occasional gusts up to 40 mph at times!

By Wednesday, we drop back into the mid-30s, with the slight chance for a lake effect rain or snow shower.
Highs will remain in the 30s through the rest of the workweek before we climb into the 40s by the weekend! This coincides with February getting underway and Groundhog Day is also on Sunday. The biggest question on this day... will the groundhog see its shadow? Either way, enjoy the thaw that's coming up!
