MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Two people are in the hospital after an overnight double shooting at Main Event. At 12:10 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a shooting call at Main Event that resulted in an aggravated assault. When officers responded, they saw several vehicles leaving the parking lot at a high rate of speed. When they entered the business, they saw a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound at a VR game. According to the police report, when the officers tried to secure the crime scene, one of the parties was adamant about getting his "brother" to the hospital. He was told that an ambulance was en route but police said he continued to "disobey officers" in an attempt to get the victim to his private vehicle. However, the victim collapsed by the front entrance and decided to wait for the ambulance. The victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition. Suspect arrested after woman stabbed to death at motel While at the hospital, officers were flagged down by medical staff and were told that there was a second victim (a woman) coming in a private vehicle. The second victim said she was shot in the leg at Main Event. She was listed in non-critical condition. According to the police report, she did not provide officers with a statement related to how she was shot. Officers were flagged down by the complainant, who provided them with a gun that he had obtained from a suspect. An analysis of the gun showed it was a stolen Glock 19. Officers had Main Event's general manager review the surveillance video and saw that the incident started when a group of women had a disagreement near the bowling lanes. Management told officers that the group was too large and caused many issues when they entered the business. However, the shooting incident occurred in a blind area of the cameras. At the time the police report was filed, the male shooting victim was in surgery and remains in critical condition. The female victim is still listed in non-critical condition. There is no suspect information at this time and the security guards had no vehicle information for the suspect.
