Suspect in western Wisconsin homicide, shooting quickly apprehended

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WFRV) - The suspect allegedly involved in a homicide at a western Wisconsin residence was quickly apprehended early Saturday morning after a shooting that left one dead.
Officers responded to a shooting at a residence in Eau Claire on Western Avenue just after 2 a.m. on January 25, according to a press release from the Eau Claire Police Department.
When first responders arrived, life-saving measures were tried on the victim, however, the victim died at the scene.

The suspect was quickly taken into custody. It was not stated where or when the suspect was apprehended. Officers did note that the shooting is believed to have been an isolated incident with no other suspects sought.
