WAUSAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - A 48-year-old woman from Marinette County was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Friday night. According to the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, around 8:30 p.m. on January 24, deputies were notified of a complaint involving a driver who was possibly intoxicated in the area of State Highway 180 and Old County C. Around 9:12 p.m., deputies got word of a single-vehicle crash near W4755 State Highway 180 in Wausaukee. Deputies: Marinette man dies after crashing into home, speed & alcohol a factor An initial investigation detailed that Wausaukee resident Sandra A. Kollenbroich, 48, left the road and crashed into some trees. Deputies confirmed that it was the same vehicle from the complaint. Kollenbroich was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies believe speed and alcohol to have played a factor in the crash and noted that Kollenbroich was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. The incident remains under investigation.
