4 dead from Fort Wayne, 2 injured after head on crash involving semi in Paulding County

PAULDING COUNTY, Ohio (WANE) -- Four Fort Wayne citizens are dead and two are injured after a crash involving a semi hitting an SUV head on Friday night.
In a press release from the Ohio State High Patrol, the Van Wert post is investigating after a semi-truck, driven by Gary Woods, age 72 of Cilo, Michigan, was traveling eastbound on US 24 and crossed the median striking an SUV head-on.
The SUV had five occupants inside, four of which were pronounced dead at the scene. The right-side passenger was life-flighted to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The Ohio State Patrol later released that those who died in the crash were; 35-year-old Amin Mukbel Humaidi, 40-year-old Nadia Humaidi, 21-year-old Rajaa Humaidi and a three-year-old all of Fort Wayne. The passenger life-flighted was later identified as a teen from Fort Wayne.
Woods, the driver of the semi was also taken to an area hospital with injuries.
It's unclear what caused Woods to leave the roadway.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
