INDIANAPOLIS - An investigation is underway after a person was shot and killed Saturday morning on Indy's north side.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 1 a.m., officers were called to the 1600 block of East 49th Street on the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located a person with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. They were transported to an area hospital, but later died of their injuries, according to police.
