COLLEGE PARK, Md. (DC News Now) -- Washington Commanders fans are gearing up for the big game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Some people plan on watching from their couch, while others are making the drive to catch the game in person. "I can't wait. I'm going up Sunday morning at nine with about ten other people and we're going for a win," said longtime Washington Commanders fan, Terry McFarland. McFarland is excited to see his favorite team take on the Philidelphia Eagles at the NFC Championship game. ‘Best rookie year of all time?’ Jayden Daniels has the Commanders a win away from the Super Bowl "[It] was a three-hour drive. I looked at Super Bowl prices, the cheapest seats are 10,000 and I figured might as well go to the championship game," he said. "Leave at nine with a bunch of people, get up there at noon, find a place to park, tailgate or go to a bar and then go to the game." The Commanders haven't played in a championship game since they won the Super Bowl more than 30 years ago, but this season that's changed. "I'm very excited. We're way overdue, 2025 Commanders all the way," said Commanders fan Kieth Washington. "We have to stop the running back. We stopped the running back. We have a good chance," added McFarland. "[We had] a good season. Some games I feel like we shouldn't have lost, but it's part of the game, it's part of the sport. So, you know, as we progress, you see where the results are going," said Washington.
