Crews repairing several broken water lines in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Crews are working to repair several broken water lines in the City of Petersburg on Friday morning, with some residents experiencing reduced water pressure while repairs are underway.
At around 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, the City of Petersburg reported that utility crews and contractors were working on several broken water lines throughout the city due to freezing temperatures causing the lines to break.
According to the city, residents on Forest Lane off of Graham Road will experience reduced water pressure while repairs progress, however, the water remains safe to drink and use.
Officials said all repairs are expected to be completed on Friday. Anyone who is without water is asked to contact Petersburg's Public Works at 804-324-5446.
