NEEDHAM, Mass. (WPRI) — A Massachusetts high school football player has received dozens of offers to play college football, but one stands out among the others.
Marky Walbridge is a 17-year-old junior from Hanover who got his first offer to play college football when he was a freshman at St. Sebastian's School in Needham.
On Thursday he got his 23rd college offer, which was hand-delivered by Bill Belichick.

"I don't usually get nervous for meetings with the coaches," Walbridge said. "But for him, I was a little bit nervous for it because I grew up watching him on TV. All the success he has had as a coach. I've been to Patriots' parades and whatnot, so I have seen them celebrate."
Belichick met Walbridge the same day he signed his multi-year contract to be head coach of UNC Chapel Hill.
Walbridge has not made a decision yet, with more offers expected to come during the spring.
