VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - One person was displaced after a townhouse fire on Marlwood Way Thursday night. According to officials, just before 11 p.m., crews were dispatched to the 4600 block of Marlwood Way for reports of a multi-family structure fire. Crews arrived to the scene and say heavy smoke and flames coming from the two-story townhouse. Photos from the scene show heavy damage to the second floor of the structure. Crews said the fire was caused by a space heater in an upstairs bedroom. One person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and no other injuries were reported.
