BATON ROUGE — Mayor-President Sid Edwards held a news conference Friday addressing the current state of East Baton Rouge Parish following the freezing temperatures and record snowfall earlier in the week. Edwards and members of the Mayor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness also addressed issues that arose from the historic winter weather event that blanketed the state in several inches of snow and shut down travel and schools for multiple days. The news conference was held at the Mayor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Center at 10:45 a.m. Watch the news conference below: Permalink| Comments
